Object study
The Museum's extensive collection of objects is available to enhance and support the curriculum of University courses from all departments. Faculty may reserve the Museum's Print Study Gallery for seminars and to make works available from the collection for research, class papers, and exams. Faculty who are familiar with the Museum's collection may request specific objects from the collection. If you are unfamiliar with the Museum's collection, our curatorial staff will be happy to assist you with selections which will complement your course syllabus. To reserve the Print Study Gallery, please email Nicole Anastasi or call 434.982.2595.
Exhibition proposals
The Museum invites faculty from all areas of the University to submit applications to guest curate an exhibition in support of their research and courses.
The Museum plans its exhibition schedule, budgets and fund-raising efforts a minimum of three years in advance. Depending on the scope of the exhibition, Main Gallery exhibitions organized by faculty are possible every two to four years with a maximum of two such shows per year. Contemporary, Entrance, and Graphics Gallery exhibitions can be presented throughout each year.
If you have any questions, please email the Curator of Collections and Exhibitions, Andrea Douglas or call 434.924.6322.

Tours may be designed to meet the needs of any class or group. In order to prevent scheduling conflicts, faculty who plan to bring classes to the Museum should schedule their visits through the Education Department even if a tour guide is not required.
